What We're Spinning This Week: Noah Kahan, Stick Season & Our 1964 Magnavox
Mariah Carey and Kelly Clarkson have Christmas. Noah Kahan has fall. And quite frankly, we're not accepting any arguments.
The minute the leaves start changing, the temperatures drop, and we find ourselves reaching for a cozy sweater, it's officially Noah Kahan season in our house.
Some people mark the beginning of fall with pumpkin spice lattes. Others wait for the first chilly morning.
Us? We're putting Stick Season on our 1964 Magnavox, pouring another cup of coffee, and pretending we live in a charming little cabin somewhere in Vermont.
And honestly, we're not mad about it.

Stick Season Is Basically Fall's Official Soundtrack
There's something about Noah Kahan's music that makes you want to romanticize absolutely everything.
Taking Archie for a walk? Suddenly we're in a coming-of-age movie.
Making dinner on a random Tuesday? It's now a cozy autumn evening worthy of a Pinterest board.
Staring out the window at the changing leaves? We're emotionally processing things we didn't even know needed processing.
And don't even get us started on “Northern Attitude.”
We've been spinning Stick Season on vinyl this week, and it's the perfect soundtrack for slowing down and enjoying the little things that make this season so special.
Why We Love Listening on Vinyl
Sure, we could pull up Noah Kahan on Spotify in about three seconds. But there's something different about putting a record on our vintage 1964 Magnavox.
It's the whole experience.
Pulling the record out of its sleeve. Hearing that little crackle before the music starts. Letting the album play without constantly skipping to the next song.
It's a little nostalgic, a little imperfect, and exactly how we like things around here.
Plus, there's something wonderfully ironic about listening to a modern folk album on a record player that's been around since 1964.
Old meets new. Our favorite combination.
Our Noah Kahan Songs on Repeat
Stick Season: Because it's basically the national anthem of October.
Northern Attitude: For those crisp mornings when a sweatshirt becomes your entire personality.
Dial Drunk: Because sometimes you just need to dramatically sing along while making dinner.
Orange Juice: For when you're feeling a little sentimental.
Homesick: Because who doesn't love a song that makes you want to move to a small New England town immediately?
Consider This Your Official Invitation to Slow Down
Fall has a funny way of reminding us that not everything needs to be rushed.
Sometimes the best evenings are the ones where you stay home, cook something good, put on a favorite album, and enjoy the people (and dogs) around you.
And if Noah Kahan happens to be playing in the background? Even better.
So here's to cozy nights, vintage record players, good music, and making the everyday feel a little more special.
Now excuse us while we flip the record over.
Food. Home. Good Living.
